My car has built-in parking sensors.
They work very well.
But I probably rely on them a little too much.
The wife’s car doesn’t have parking sensors.
Which would explain why, stupidly, I reversed it into a concrete pillar yesterday.
Ouch.
Ouch to the tune of over a thousand pounds.
She’s not happy with me.

OK, it’s now Boxing Day - 24 hours after the main event - and:
- Our living room still looks like the aftermath of an explosion in a small branch of Toys R Us
- My stomach is still trying to digest a meal that would have kept several African families going for a month
- My liver [...]
Following the latest of several data loss debacles, I’m thinking of getting all my family’s personal data and publishing it here, online.
It’ll save time.
I was in our local shopping mall on Saturday.

Dressed in a white top, a pair of his sister’s white tights and with cotton wool sellotaped to his head, he sat on a chair in front of the audience and scowled his way [...]
Unfortunately, I cannot mention here just what I am referring to in the title.
Suffice to say, had it come to fruition, things would have quickly gotten pretty rough for me and mine.
In fact the only way out of it, would have been for me to get my canoe out.
But luckily, it didn’t come to that, [...]
Although this site isn’t, I do have a couple of sites hosted by this mob.
As this story on the BBC states, there has been a security issue and as a result of them changing the passwords, I now cannot gain access to administer those sites.
I’ve tried ringing Fasthosts on several occasions over the last couple [...]
Went out for the (semi) regular beef n beer with some of my old BT pals, last night.
Most enjoyable an evening it was too, with a couple of faces there that I hadn’t seen in about 15 years or more.
The evening was only slightly marred by a sozzled piece of mutton dressed as lamb, who [...]
